Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA) Conducts Massive CPR Training for Airport Staff at SVPIA, Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad, November 19:
The Ahmedabad Medical Association (AMA), in collaboration with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, Ahmedabad, conducted a large-scale CPR training programme for airport ground staff, airline personnel and security forces at Terminal 2 on Wednesday.
The initiative aimed at strengthening emergency response preparedness at one of the city’s busiest public locations. More than a hundred participants, including CISF personnel, private security teams, ground handling staff and airline employees, actively took part in the hands-on training.
A team of expert trainers — Dr. Rasesh Diwan, Dr. Sunil Shah, Dr. Sanjay Pandey, Dr. Parth Patel, Dr. Chandani Patel conducted live demonstrations and guided participants through high-quality CPR techniques, recognition of cardiac arrest, and immediate first-response actions.
AMA President Dr. Jignesh Shah said that equipping frontline airport staff with lifesaving skills can make a critical difference during medical emergencies.
AMA Hon. Secretary Dr. Maulik Sheth expressed gratitude to the airport authorities for their cooperation and strong participation.
The training session received an excellent response and marks a significant step toward enhancing passenger safety and emergency readiness at the Ahmedabad airport.
